spotted these at Target

I shared this photo on Instagram and someone commented 'that must feel amazing'
Considering that 7 holiday seasons ago I only sold one card to one customer, it does. It really does feel amazing.

To think that before I spotted these at Target I was feeling disappointed about some things in my business. It’s all relative right? How quickly we forget how far we’ve come. How easy it is to miss appreciating what’s right in front of us.
I have a new Valentine card with Papyrus this year, the bunnies on the right. The birdie on the left came out a couple of years ago.

I hope to have one card to sell by Christmas this year, and I have started that path by buying your book, realizing resistance at the moment is an issue for me, got war of art on your recommendation, read it in a day and now i have your book back out, kick started my daily yoga and have 24 little blog posts scheduled to release through the year and have two commissions to work on (the photo's on the blog for one of my first series needs a bit of work, i need to up the resolution, but they were my first and i want to share them, at least i have things rolling and am creating space to create). its easy to get caught up in the journey one thinks they should be on, and forget how magical and usually richer the one they are on is. you are on my "creative role model" list, appreciate the sharing of your gifts, it is helping me understand how i might share mine.
congratulations on this accomplishment Marisa. I understand how easy disappointment can settle in as we go through the seasons of our creative journey. sometimes it takes a little sign (like seeing your new card at Target) to lift us up! love your Valentine cards <3
congratulations! you inspire me to try harder with my wee little art business! I just ordered some more cards for ETSY and a local art shop. Hoping for a few sales!
Soak it all in! I remember many moons when you started, and your artwork is just lovely...it was only a matter of time before you made it this far. ENJOY!!!
Kristen!! creatively self-employed! how are you? yes! thank you for believing in me in the early days and for inviting me to be a part of your book. hope all is well!
