This is the first in a series of 3 paintings inspired by my new, new fabric collection 'zaza zoo' shipping later this year. I’m imagining a nursery with the fabric for the bedding and these images as artwork to coordinate, starting with the giraffe. I also really enjoyed painting in such a loose, slightly abstract style, mixing colors directly on the wood leaving a lot of visible brush strokes.
