Also, if you are looking for a great documentary on how art heals the soul check out a movie called Marwencol. It's about a man who gets a brain injury, and as a form of therapy he builds a model of a WW II Belgium town in his backyard. It is definitely worth a watch!

I did it! I stopped what I was doing at 9:30 on Monday morning and watched it (because that's what artists do when they start their work week, right?) YOU WERE SO RIGHT. My mind is fucking blown. Especially since I am from Alabama and the industry brought me to LA, and Pee Wee's Playhouse was one of the only kids show I would watch (as a child.) I can relate to the heavy influence of the south on my life and mindset. Having so many ideas and wanting to implement them all only to be met with utter disgust and "what the hell is wrong with you?" A few years ago I started making paintings with the words FUCK IT in them and now I understand why! I I am thrilled to have discovered this doc. Thanks for sharing, I always find the best stuff through you. Have you seen the Bones Brigade doc? It's amazing in a similar way. Incredibly dedicated & talented people getting together and feeding off each other's passionate creative energies to create something totally new and remarkable. Knowing that you are part of something so beautiful & bigger than yourself, while you are in the middle of it, has got to be the best feeling in the world. Good stuff!
