day 28 :: finish what you start

https://vimeo.com/28625257

You should know: the rest of the dried apples were very good, and the candle ~ also done! oh and I finished the remainder of a bag of walnuts as well.

Thinking about this some more after I shot the video, I realized that not completing a project, for me, is also in some way holding up what is to be next indefinitely.

Even if it takes you another two years, you are going to finish those dried apples, right? I am offering to help, btw.

What I noticed about a lot of people is that they don't finish their cereal. I usually do, though, unless I open a new one without finishing the old one.
us? overly analytical? Hmmm.. i need to ponder on that a bit more ;-)
It was my first time watching one of the videos, only bc im always iffy on virus stuff(like fb). Im glad i took the time to watch and look forward to 29!!! I never finish like last chips in a big bag and never really finish all my candles either:O) i think alot of us can relate:O) have a great day:O)
I completely get the candles, perfume, etc. ~ why DO we do that?? I even hang on to a paint tube where the paint is mostly dry, but still just ever so slightly squishy ~ what? do I think I am going to squeeze that last squishy bit out and reconstitute it...especially since i have since bought a fresh tube of the same color....? Don't get me started on colored pencil nubs.... LOL And I am a fellow Aquarian as well (January 27)!
I can totally relate! We've just moved house, and in the clearing out process I've realised I have 7 unfinished paintings (!!), and at least 3 unfinished picture book manuscripts/layouts.
And don't even get me started on the contents of our fridge...!
that was just what I needed today..so good to see you and I can relate to the finishing of things. Have a great candle on my desk that I am looking at now that I need to finish!! and things I need to finish..
You are not alone. I just threw out our last bits of dried apples, too. Funny thing, though, as far as dried fruit goes, this only happens with apples. Oh, wait, prunes, too. Funny! I used to save the last bit of candle wax, too.
I love watching your videos and listening to your thoughts... and I think it's great you are working to finish your projects. Talk about the most common issue we all face! Not finishing! Good for you and thanks for sharing...
Just catching up on your blog! you are so cute...I leave the last little bits undone myself....except for maybe when it comes to chocolate. Will I see you at Fall Quilt Market? I hope so!
Hi Monica!! Im writing a book this fall so I wont be at market this time, but hopefully next time? I cannot wait to hear an update on all that is happening with you and your creations
I just listened to your '28' - I laughed so hard - and then realized all the little things I hang on to also. Very nice video !
