This week looks to be bittersweet.

I had crazy exciting news last Monday about a possible opportunity set for the fall. I also booked a trip to NYC in eight days {I’m not counting down or anything...} to finalize my fabric designs. We had a really nice week away, but let’s also be honest ~ visiting family is not without its challenges. I’m still coming out of the fibroid shenanigans, waiting for a final check up, and for my body and moods to return to normal. And Reilly is not well. It’s unbearable - most of all for me to watch him meow to Sean, his loyal companion for 17 years, who feels helpless in providing him comfort during this time.

When life gives me lemons and lemonade at the same time, it can be challenging to focus on the lemonade. The secret is figuring out what gets me appreciating the lemonade. All of a sudden I’m really craving a glass of lemonade. I think a lemonade from Lemonade is in order.  Maybe I need to just call this post Lemonade instead? Ok, fine I added it to the title.

When I need a little pick me up I need pretty. {see exhibit a above}

I think I might need a skirt like Sean’s four year old niece.

A glass of zinfandel from our favorite Napa winery V. Sattui would be good.

The ranunculus I just went ahead brought home with me.

I also need to create.

I need some cucumber mint lemonade.

Been loving your little instagram travel postcards all week. Feel good. Drink lemonade. :)
Hope you have a good week. Lemonade and flowers are a great prescription to feel better! Sorry about kitty. *hugs* to you both.
Hi Marisa, sending you get well wishes- I hope you feel back to your normal self really soon and poor Riley, I hope he feels better soon too. Whenever my rabbits are poorly I find it so stressful and upsetting. Give him a cuddle from me. x
thanks Em
cucumber mint lemonade! I'm coming over! stat!
I am so sorry about Riley. Hugs to you and Sean. I cannot believe that you posted about VSattui - also one of my favorite vineyards!! We have the wine of the month club from there and LOVE visiting each time we go to wine country!! Love from DC...
I'm going through my own Lemon/Lemonade time right now, so I can relate. It's really bit of a struggle. Happy, then guilty, then guilty for being happy, then angry for having to feel guilty about being happy, then guilty about being angry, then happy again... It's a crazy ride, this life thing. I find a splash of vodka in my lemonade doesn't hurt. ;)

*hugs*
