podcast #43 :: "are you living an organized life?"

Photo

Do you even want to live an organized live? That is the question.

Clearly I do want to live an organized life. In fact I highly recommend it. However it’s very likely that you will listen to this and either think that I’m slightly crazy and/or highly ambitious to attempt this experiment. Either way, it was totally worth it ~ an achievement for me, being 98% organized with everything on my entire, 'master' list in one day. It will be interesting how much of this organization I can maintain, with no stress *ahem*. If I find a  fun way with minimal effort to stay organized, I’ll come back and share some tips with you.  The one tip I leave you with, is if you can 'do it right away'. Life starts to pile when you put it off 'until later'.

Wow, lots to think about and definitely more a life organization in total. I think a lot of times when people say organization, they just mean their work stuff or studio area... but there are so many other aspects. I think it's good to be mindful of everything and consider what is best for you...but to be totally organized all the time - like perfection - that is an illusion I think.
Hi Marisa,
Thanks for the great podcast! I started to get anxious listening to the list thinking of all the things slipping through the cracks, yikes! I am tackling one organizing thing a weekend and that feels great. Something to add to you list, a will! We have a will but need to review it and be sure things are in order. Yucky to think about but great for peace of mind!
xo,
Betz
ooh - you are so right Betz. You see, I have put that one off because I don't have kids yet, but still...I have a business, I have assets. It's so true that a will is key in having your life and what do they say 'affairs in order' - absolute peace of mind.
Wow! It was so fun to spend a part of my morning with you! I couldn't get too stressed out while I listened because I was working on a 4 ft ostrich painting (so much fun!) It did give me a lot to think about though - just getting everything - EVERYTHING down on paper, in one list could be really helpful. I tend to go week by week as in "what needs to get done in the next 7 days" but I still tend to forget or miss things. A "practice" called life =)
wow....quite an amazing piece of knowledge you have shared here....I made it to the end and my brain is tired....but I must say very good thoughts to think over....thanks Marisa....now to study or paint?or make a list?
I made it to the end and I did take you with me. To pinterest.com and to my yahoo inbox. Yes, I am an email horder. I currently have over 3000 emails. I took this opportunity to delete the unnecessary and keep the pertinent. It is awesome. It's my new favorite thing..for now..thanks for the inspiration.

p.s. i need to floss..thanks for the reminder.
Would love to listen but the download seems to link to your previous podcast (#42) rather than #43.
You are right Paula! Thank you for pointing that out. I just fixed it the link. Let me know if you still get a different file for downloading.
