Today is the day I said goodbye to my Creative Thursday e-course group, or the Creatives as they came to be known. After over a year of teaching e-courses, you’d think I get used to saying goodbye but I still get all sentimental at the end of each session. Then I get this email from Kristen, who for the record could not be a nicer, lovelier human being on the planet, sharing a treasury she made on Etsy. This treasury includes a collection of the classmates she has met through the Creative Thursday e-courses with this year, who also have Etsy shops. At this point I go straight from sentimental to all teary-eyed. To see everyone’s art work like this all together, to know that in some small way something I started brought them together, to see Kristen reach out to them to show her support of their work, oh I could go on and on but honestly, it’s not about me, and my teary-eyed sentimentality ~ It’s about Kristen and this kind gesture she did for her classmates, and for me. It’s about all of these wonderful, talented people who are committed to their creativity, who are brave enough to share their artwork with the world. And if you don’t yet know about them, you should.

I remember Kristen from one of your classes and she is a positive force with great ideas. But then, that is true of so many of your 'creatives' - no matter which course they have taken or are currently taking.
As for me, I am always one of the quiet ones lurking in the back ground. But I am (slowly) realizing how much I miss by not chiming in more and therefore getting to know everyone else a little better.
