Eiffel Tower, I love you

Monday

I know the Eiffel tower has been photographed a million times. All you have to do is sit across from it and have a picnic at sundown and you’ll see constant flash bulbs going off, almost like the Paparzzi catching a celebrity in L.A.. I know it also might seem like a tourist trap. And in some ways it is, and in other ways it is so magnificent that it takes my breath away every time I see it. Personally, I can’t take enough photos of the tower and on the heels of Sean’s last video, I thought I’d share a few of my recent favorites {plus a shot of the light shining through the leaves of a tree on the walk to see it} with you.

Whenever I’m walking in Paris, and I look up, I see a glimpse of La Tour Eiffel ~it reminds me that I am indeed in Paris. And now 4 weeks in, sometimes I still want to "pinch" myself that I am really here.

Nighty night from Paris! It’s always strange to blog late at night now, and realize that most of you, especially my west coast friends are just into your day. have a good Wednesday! xo

I had my 40th birthday dinner in the Altitude 95° restaurant in the Tower. What a kick. I love that they kept the twinkling effect that they did for the Millennium. I love randomly catching that when I am in Paris.
p.s. Your shots are great :-)
each time a photo is taken of it, it tells that person's story. your story sounds magical.
I'm coming!! I mean it. I will be flying to Paris on Friday. I'll be looking out for you on the streets and snapping pictures of the eiffel tower. weeee!
What do you mean??? Are you really visiting this weekend? Id love to see you!!
the Eiffel Tower has special meaning for me because I got engaged on the top way back in 1993!! I am hoping to get back there someday soon!! I have many things that have the Eiffel tower in it or in 3-d like a charm on my bracelet to remind me of that special night!
one of the most amazing sculpture that man ever made. love it and ohh i love the pics too. so neat and clean.
These pictures are truly gorgeous! Oh, so beautiful---I can feel that "pinch me" feeling right through them!

I like the third picture. It isn't the iconic figure of the tower, nor is it taken from the more "standard" angles. And yet the metal grooves and arcs are strangely familiar, and there is comfort in spite of the mystery. Well done!
