a week in the life of Marisa and Creative Thursday

Week in the life

Inspired by my most recent, wonderful, group of e-course students~ A question I have been asked countless times:

"What does a typical day and/or week look like for you?"

Ok. So here’s what I’ve got planned for this week: I thought it might be fun if I just go ahead and answer this question right here on the blog for all of you, and also for me.

Honestly, sometimes I wonder exactly where my days and weeks go.

My thought is that I will post a short record of each day and it’s events the day after. So, for example today’s events Monday, February 22 will post here tomorrow and so on for the entire week unless

a) we all get bored of this little activity sooner than that.

b) the recording of daily events begins to take up way too much time ;)

I have to say, I’ve put together a collection of images for you from today, and so far I’m enjoying this. Then again, today was an especially fun day ~ the rest of the week, might well be boring. Either way you’ll get to see how it goes down here at Creative Thursday ~ and hopefully it will inspire you a little, as well as give us both an honest look at how much of my time goes to creativity, versus business, versus personal time and so on...

I know I’ve often wondered and do wonder the very same thing about people out in the world whose work and lives I follow. What does their typical day really and truly look like?

So I hope you’ll enjoy this experiment on this last week of February!

This is a clever idea! Looking forward to seeing what you get up to :)

So far all I've done this week is paper work and making phone calls :(

Congrats on your new Creative Thursday patterned material!!

Em xx
cool idea.

this would be a funny week for me to do this. i have a big event saturday night so i'm all over the map this week. yesterday i got totally overwhelmed and decided to take the afternoon off and go thrifting and to a matinee.

definitely not a "typical" work day for me...but then again the further i go on this path, the less typical everything is becoming!!

looking forward to following along...

Looking forward to hearing about your week Marisa, it's always inspiring and also reassuring when you learn about other artists activities. Thanks for sharing with us! Love Niki xxx
Hi, it is Kristen from class! I am excited to see what your days look like. Please post the boring days, too! Then I won't feel so lonely when I am having my own boring day :)

I think this might be a good activity for self-realization too - just where does the time go and what do we do with it?
Yes, yes, post the boring days too! Sometimes those are the most interesting!
my cousin asked me this very question today as i took her to her second chemo treatment. what would i have done if not this? my first thought was wouldn't it be great if i had important meaningful things that i did everyday and then i remembered that everyday that you do something for someone else no matter what it is makes it an important day.

you inspire everyday...it is all important. thanks friend!
I realize I'm commenting a couple years later :P But...I am about to embark on my own creative journey, leaving the 9-5 world behind. I have been turning in my head over what a creative, self employed person's day looks like. This gives me lots of great ideas and has helped my own brain begin to shape out my own days will go and gives me a better idea of how to figure out exactly where my efforts go as far as creativity, business, etc. Just wanted to say thanks for the inspiration. :)
