I KNOW where I'm going

In the beginning

Repeat as often as is necessary.

On the days when no one else understands. On the days when comparison and competition get the best of you. On the days when you wish you were already there.

Repeat. And go forward!

All that matters is that you know.

a sentiment I leave you with for this {holiday} weekend {here in the states}.

Sweet Marisa, thank you for sharing this sentiment with us here today! Have a lovely merry happy weekend and love to you! Oh and such a gorgeous photo...love everything about it!
Such wonderful and helpful thoughts! Thanks for sharing! I seem to fall into ruts now and again, especially when working alone at home. Solitude can do funny things, I suppose...have a great holiday!
divine wisdom! grazie!
I don't know how you got your dog to do that but I love this photo and every detail in it. Beautiful - just like you!
thank you; what a bright sentiment on this beautiful friday morning
A perfect post for today, and that picture is great! Thanks!
What a great mantra! I will be using it. But right now I want to be going to your house to pet that giant dog (Great Dane's are my favourite) and steal or at least sit in that chair. Where did you get that chair?
Beautiful post! Lovely photo!
You KNOW this speaks to me. Amen sista.
Oh Marisa, I love you! =) That is an awesome thing to leave us with for the weekend. Thank you!
As ever perfect timing for me! I will be saying this mantra in the days to come- thank you so much for sharing it :)

I love this photo- everything about it is just right.

Have a great (long) weekend!

hi Cheryl! That chair is one of my first Creative Thursday creations :)
It's vintage and I'm sure I found it at a local flea market and then I re-designed it by hand painting it and re-upholstering it.
I needed that today! Thanks, Marisa! xoxo
I just LOVE that chair still. Thanks for your inspiration.
Perfect timing as always. Thanks, Marisa!

P.S. See you at Squam.... :)
Many great things about this post---a wonderful mantra, a beautiful picture of you (I do love candids and pups), and a gorgeous chair! Happy Labor Day weekend!
LOVE THIS PIC! And one of the best posts I've read in a long time (not here, of course, I love all your posts! LOL!)
I agree, your timing is insane! Thanks girl!
Thank you. So well said. Saying that in your heart weeds out all the other stuff that gets stuck in there. perfect.
thanks
tali
Beautiful words, beautiful photo!
LOVE the photo AND the sentiment! Have a happy weekend :)
thank you! -- you always have the best timing; how did you know?!
i will be sure to click on that often as my hopes for a "great September" at the store have so far been dashed.
Pillow Mint turned two this week. Such the toddler still finding it's words.
This is SO true! When I have a clear idea of what I want and where I want to be, it happens so much faster! I'm often amazed at how readily the universe delivers when I am clear in the messages I'm sending out to it.
Thanks Marisa. I needed to see that.
What a beautiful most wonderful photograph Marisa...the creative journey is indeed a constant beautiful struggle.
You have no idea how much I needed to read this today! See you in a week! xoxo
LOVE!
thank you for this post. it can be so easy to circle thoughts of uncertainty and i have been doing it lately thinking, "what am i doing?"
"knowing where i am going" is something i am trying to focus on now as i am recently unemployed and thinking of switching careers and/or going back to school and/or writing a children's book etc other creative ideas. i also like to think of a quote from one of my favorite movies, What About Bob? which is "baby steps." Baby steps until i know where i am going...
this was lovely. best post i've read in a long time. lovely.
Your photo is lovely. Our pets are truly wonderful companions and can sure put things into perspective for us.
Oh, by the way that chair is really cool. I bet you painted that, didn't you?
