You'll like me more or You'll like me less?! day 2 v-blog

I did it! I made it back for a 2nd video! :)

I couldn't agree with you more. When I first started my blog I was scared to show my art work for fear people wouldn't like it. Now I feel safe behind my computer, but I can't imagine doing a video blog. It makes you a real person. I think you have done a great job on the first two. Look forward to seeing more.
This is great and you are so cute! I'll definitely be joining you.
Just a technical thought: if you set your computer to take longer to go into standby/screensaver, you won't have the screen go dark mid session. The light is perfect when the screen if at full brightness & a little but dark when it dims.
I hope this isn't too critical! I love what you're doing and I just want to help!
Hi Ali!! Oh my gosh. Not critical at all. I literally figured out why that was happening today :) so I'll be sure to set it so it doesn't dim out. Thank you for the pointer & glad you'll be coming along!! {still missing Squam, a little} *sigh*
Oh, Marisa! I'm so glad you're doing this! It lights my day up just to see your sweet, glowing, lovely self smiling out at me from your videos. You are DEFINITELY going to be MORE liked for doing these! :)

Looking forward to being with you at Squam again....
Marisa, i love that you are doing these - go you! Now that i'm running my e-course for the third time i feel so much more comfortable being on camera (well, photobooth :) and chatting to my Unravellers.... but i'm *still* shy about putting a video on my blog. silly, right? but with my class we get to know each other and i have a purpose - on my blog it would feel so much more... i don't know... visible? open to criticism from the world? self-conscious definitely. and i completely get the whole 'will they like me' worry :) but i have to say: seeing you make this commitment to visiblity and bravery is making me wonder if perhaps i have the guts to post a video too.. maybe just one x
Lovely video! Enjoying these little daily "talks" with you :P

I think the internet and online world has really opened up an avenue of communication for people who are shy...because you can share yourself in stages as you get more comfortable with your audience...or even remain anonymous.

Access to the whole world - a limitless audience in different cultures and places is such an amazing thing about starting a blog. I feel sometimes it's nice to talk to "someone else" as opposed to those you see everyday. Is that weird?! ;P
Oh, the screen saver! That was what was happening! Yeah, when I watched the first video, I noticed that the colors and brightness changed at one point. I just thought it was cheap web cam being indecisive on white balance. But yeah, screen dimming. That made a lot of sense.
I love your videos! These are going great ^_^
I totally get the fear of rejection -- but you have to get the ball rolling and I think these videos will totally up your confidence!!
You go girl ^_^
Marisa-
This is great! I love your honesty! You are so sweet and inspiring. We do all share that common fear "Will they like me?". I do like you even more!! I feel like I "know" you without "knowing you" if you know what I mean.
Great work. :)
You did great! I'm impressed, you seem as cool as a cucumber. Keep up the good work :)
You are very courageous! Congratulations on making it back a second time! I always find that the first time doing something new is full of excitement, but it is the second time where you really realize your commitment and have to do it even though the fear is creeping in. Thanks for this inspiration---it reminds me of what I am shooting for---to be the best version of myself as much as possible.
How cute Marisa! You did great and I look forward to watching your journey. Feel free to throw in a 5 second dance clip if you start getting nervous. It works for me. Take care, Karin
Hey Marisa. There's actually a free little app called Caffeine that allows you to toggle your energy saver settings at will, if you're interested:

<a href="http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/24120/caffeine">http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/24120/caffeine</a>

When it's running your screensaver won't activate and your Mac won't go to sleep.
You Crack Me Up! and, of course, Inspire Me Too... the beginnings of a beautiful journey....
Yayy!!! :)
Love hearing your giggles. :)
I'm glad to know that others giggle when nervous! And yours is a great one.;) Can't wait to follow the journey. J
Great! You are taking the blogging to next the level! it's scary to think to even think about it...but it works!
Go Marisa!
this is pretty neat and i stop in your blog anyway so it is exciting and something to look forward to. i was first drawn to your artwork after finding you on etsy. what is intriguing to me about your paintings made me curious about your blog and you. it was inspiring to come across you, your work and your success. reading and now watching your blog makes you more human and motivates me in wanting certain things for myself and feeling like they are attainable. thank you and looking forward to your journey...
i agree that a blog is where we show the best of our lives, and what we do. i had not thought of that before, but it makes alot of sense. as artists and writers, we have an internal desire to share what we think and make with others. perhaps more than a desire, but something we must do. thanks for putting that out there!
