This is the Sea ~ day 7

No words today.
Went surfing this morning. Talked for hours with our surfing friends. Watched "Riding Giants".
Fell in love with this song.

"This is the Sea" by the Waterboys

"Once you were tethered, now you are free."

"You’re trying to make sense of something you just don’t see"

"But that was the River and this is the Sea"

{...not dancing yet...but maybe soon ;)}

Alright, woman. You've got my attention.

What's coming up for me is how difficult it would feel to sit in silence and fight self-consciousness. Wanting to fill in those gaps. Uncomfortable, beautiful, sacred, silence.
I think I'm going tohave to give it a go. Thank you for leading the way, o gracious one. :)
LOVE this. like musical meditation. xx
Interesting & thought provoking in itself. A testimonial to not needing to fill our gaps in order to be effective. Have you moved onto a new room too?
Wow! You are really growing Marisa, that is awesome. It would be very hard for me to do that you go girl! Niki xxx
It struck me just how HARD this would be for me to do comfortably. Just watching you sit without talking or interacting was making me wiggle in my chair! What a huge leap you took with this one. Did it feel that way to you? My heart is still beating fast..... :)
I loved Riding Giants. I've never been surfing (would love to try), but even still some of the scenes in that movie were like meditating for me. Beautiful!

I like those quiet spaces between-sometimes they say a lot more than anything else could. It sort of reminds me of a musical rest, and how the most important notes can be the ones that aren't there at all. I also love seeing what is born out of quiet moments. That's one of my favorite things to do, to just sit and listen to something fully and completely. I'll be very curious to see your next one . . .
American. Idol. Marisa, you are not of this world. I totally get your voice here and it's amazing.
How the HECK did you do that? I am very impressed that you are able to sit there without talking while being filmed. We may be seeing you in movies one day, my dear!!
Surfing and not speaking takes courage.
Go girl.
I'm so happy that someone else in the world knows how perfect that song is. (and that movie for that matter)
What an amazing video.
