talking to your best friend ~ day 6

A teeth cleaning, lunch with a good friend, and a renewed spirit, make for a pretty good Wednesday.

Actually, that's what we are taught in the voiceover class too. The coach told us to pick a person that loves to listen to us talk, and you can really hear the difference in the recorded work.
I'm glad we don't have to picture people naked to expel the fear of "public speaking" hehe :P I dunno about others, but I'm not a big fan of watching/seeing myself in video...
Hello from Manchester, England. I arrived here via Susannah Conway's blog. I like your point about imagining you're talking to your best friend. That's a good tip.
Love the thoughts on honesty - no more fake, being yourself! I posted about this a while ago here..

Also - yesterday I included your blog (right at the very top) in a post of my top 10 blogs to read.. and I think the reason I keep coming back to visit you is because you are just you, there is no pretense - and honesty is so refreshing in this 'perfect' blogging world!
yeah, what's up with the no-sound thing? that happens to me - are you using Photobooth too? i find that sometimes, when recording for my class, i'll make a 10-minute video and only 2 minutes has recorded - it drives me INSANE. and i know i should switch to a proper video camera, but i like photobooth - i like that it's a reflection of me; makes it sooo much easier to watch back (don't you find?)

don't know if i can make daily clips ;) but i think i'll do another one next week... and you so know i'll be chatting to you again, and talking about the weather! xo
Marisa - I love the vlogs! I just watched them all as I was taking a break from work and feel so inspired. Not only to be a little scared of what life holds but also to be excited about the possibilities! I love the confidence that you are building and the open-ness. It's great!
Hi, here via Susannah's blog. Love the video blogging idea. You really get a sense of the person behind the blog. You seem wonderfully honest and real in your videos, well done for having the courage to do it :)
