Blue bird mug1

I announced the addition of these two mugs to to the shop to my twitter followers on Friday. To say I’m having a bit of an identity crisis, with all this social media, is an understatement to say the least. Still trying to figure out what to announce where. In an effort to be informative and not too redundant, in case you only follow me here....just wanted you to know that I added these two mugs to the shop ;) {And yes, the vase in the last post was a brand new creation and sold...however, more to come!}

I’m temporarily saving the rest of my creative expression for painting {officially counting down 5 weeks until my show!} & other projects in the works, so my blog posts will remain on the short side. But believe me when I say I’m working on some podcasts for you in my mind, because all this creating, especially during these times, and my own personal experiences over this past month, is cause for extra thought and reflecting.

I hope your show prep is going well! If you're anything like me - the closer you get to the show (and maybe even the more stressed, but we'll call it "excited") the more productive you'll be!!
marisa, wishing you all the best in preparation for the show! Looking forward to it as well! Have a lovely merry happy day and love to you and yours!
Not that you asked, but you could simply announce these kind of things everywhere. Simply point us (meaning those who follow on twitter) to your blog every time you make a new post about a new painting/mug/shirt/etc on Twitter.

I follow you on Twitter and have your blog on my Google reader. However, I don't always see the updates on reader because sometimes I just skim the posts for the day because of time. So, it' nice to have two places to see things.

Basic marketing - hit us from many angles to make it more likely we see it. You don't have to concern yourself too much with bugging us because anyone who goes to the effort of "following", "friending", subscribing to your blog, whatever, care enough to know what you've got going on.

I'll get off my marketing soapbox now and try to refrain from giving unsolicited advice.
thanks Todd!!! I greatly appreciate your thoughts while standing on your marketing soapbox. You are welcome to soapbox here any time!
I agree with Todd, you can post it here and then tell us over on Twitter to get our butts over here to find out what's up. =) Well, not that that is what Todd said. But that's my own 2 cents. Sometimes Twitter posts build up too quickly and I miss stuff. Also, I like to read the longer "conversations" that blogs afford. I'd sorta think of Twitter like advertising for the blog in a way. But I also like reading that you've "still got it" when it comes to surfing too. And Twitter is good for that. ; )
i agree with todd too. i think your blog is your foundation. then you just tweet that you have a new post up. i don't tweet all my new posts, but if i think something is special, then i do. :)
Those mugs are too cute! I know how you feel about the social networking sites and repetition. I have no idea where to post my ideas & announcements anymore.
i love this cup, you are talented<3
