happy anniversary + happy giveaway!

Two years ago this past Saturday, March 7 2007, was the first day I started selling prints on Etsy. And if there’s anyone out there who’s grown their business from just one card sale to making a living with their art, then you know why this anniversary means so much.

This is also a time that I want to again, say thank you to all of you! And what better way than to give you a giftie!!! I am giving away the newest addition the Creative Thursday collection, a "sock monkeys" onesie! 100% cotton, white, short sleeve, size 18 mos. (This is also the unofficial launch of a new line I am calling Creative Thursday "baby"!!! ~ which by the way (only)  5 new onesies have just been released to the shop!)

These are so adorable Marisa. It's a shame my little one is 17! If I win, I'll gift it to an expecting friend. I'm very partial to polar bears so I think Oliver would be a wonderful edition to your line.

I am THRILLED you have started a baby line! Our little one will definitely be wearing your clothes so he can match your artwork in his room!

I'd love to see a Lewis and Oscar onesie! I'd also love an adult tee of the expecting print. When are you going to start making adult clothes???? Like you don't have enough going on already! :)

2 years is a pretty big milestone!! Congratulations :) I won't reach 2 years until late next year, which means I must get myself into full gear!

I don't think I've commented before but LOVE the baby stuff. My youngest is 9 months and I think all your animals are perfect for babies. To answer your question: Maybe a cotton hat? I find those hard to find in cute designs.

Happy Anniversary Marisa! I just found you, your blog, and your etsy shop via decor8 on twitter. And I'm so glad that I did! I love you paintings and was terribly sad to have missed out on the "Creative Thursday" line.
But, I am excited about your new ventures and can't wait to see what you do next.

The baby onsies are super super cute. All of your little animal friends are good characters for shirts. Maybe little newborn hats, booties, mitts, sleep sacs, and soft cotton receiving blankets? They could even be bundled as a "set". Very very sweet. I can't wait to see how this takes off!

Congrats on the anniversary. Getting to do what fees your soul for a living is a very special and amazing thing. My twins are in 18 month clothing right now. And I know my son would adore the little monkey. He has his own monkey toys and we even call him 'cuddle monkey.'

That's so cool that you're starting a baby line! I'm planning for decorating a nursery in my house, and that's how I stumbled upon your etsy shop in the first place. (And I'm a big fan of Sam the giraffe, and also lewis and lionel) but the sock monkey is AWFULLY adorable! :)

Congratulations!

I hope to be where you are in two years. I think the stars are aligned, because after 18 months of planning (ugh) I finally opened up my etsy shop this Saturday 3/7/09! What a "coincidence."

And of course, you inspired me. thanks for that.

Oh, and my best friend is having a baby finally after 5 years of trying, so I would love to give her your monkey baby.

Happy Anniversary! The onesies are perfect for your shop; every one of your paintings would be incredible for a children's line! I don't know that I've ever seen a hedgehog, though; I'd love to see a hedgie!

Oh, great news. I love the onesies. What a good idea. These will make wonderful baby shower gifts. My personal favorite is "Peep" the little chick who thinks he's a bunny. I LOVE Oscar and Olive on the onesies! Just the pure little character with a completely white background...so adorable. I think sweet sunhats with some of our friends around the brim or on the body of the hat would look great! Matching socks! Embroidered characters on baby blankets. Olive or polar bears on buttons of a sweater. It's all going to be adorable no matter what you do!

Congratulations on two years! I have been following along for just as long on your blog and your online store. I love the birdies and also just love all the aqua blues you use in your paintings. I have 8 month old twins (boy/girl) and either one would love a onsie!! That size would be perfect for summer time.
