We all fly together

We all fly together
8 x 8 in.

Painting by Marisa, title by Sean. I have a lot to say about this painting, but seeing as how it’s Friday afternoon...my lot to say would most likely turn into too much to say ~ and you all are ready for your weekend I’m sure, as am I.

What I will say is that I LOVE this painting. I know, I know ~ I pretty much LOVE all of my paintings, each one is one of my favorites, (and you’ll know this if you’ve ever bought one from me ~ because I’ll almost aways respond by saying "this is one of my favorite paintings")  but this one holds a special place in my heart ~ so much so that I almost did not release it for sale, but I did and here it is. And you can also find it as a print in the shop. Also, I must say that the pink balloon and the neutral coloring of this one is totally inspired by some of the loveliest engagement photos I’ve seen maybe ever, by photographer Max Wanger.

Assuming that I continue to get caught up this weekend ~ I’ll be back next week with more to say on this here blog along with an introduction to some new times for Creative Thursday!

Wishing you a very happy weekend.

This is a really, lovely painting- it's up there with my favourites too! It cannot do anything but make you smile.

Have a lovely weekend :)
Oh my goodness. I can see all the reasons why you love this. And what a perfect sentiment. Sometimes it feels like there is not enough success to go around. But there is. I have to believe that. =)

I like the pink balloon and love the delicate color layers in the background.
I love that pink balloon and how they all look like they are hanging lightly and delicately - and the sweet white bird too. Happy weekend!
i love ur art. it is really cute!
Haha, that is just lovely. And I like how the bird is on the ground looking.

Balloons have always have a special place in my heart. I always find it so sad to watch a balloon fly away. And the most heroic thing I've ever done was jumping up in the air to save a balloon from flying away when a kid accidentally let go of it. The kid and the mom said thank you, and that moment, I was a hero.

And also I volunteered at an outdoor event once. At the end they were going to pop those big balloons (3 feet in diameter) and I asked if I can take one home. I ended up dragging one back to my room. Yep. Balloons are awesome.
This is such a lovely and cute painting! Love it lots. Have a lovely restful weekend! Love to you!
really cute! :)
I love this painting, its adorable.

You don't know me but I stumbled across your work on Esty and from that discovered your blog and I love checking it weekly to see what new work you've created. I also just wanted to thank you for being such an inspiration. I really love your work and it really inspired me to get back into doing some art myself. For years I've put it aside as I've felt so unmotivated and dry of ideas. I was really playing with the idea to get my art box out once again and seeing your work and the obvious enjoyment you get from it really pushed me that one step nearer. I have started my own blog as I figure if you tell people about what you're going to do, you have to get on and do it. So, I am going take a step to getting back on to that creative ladder, so thank you :)

Hi Marisa!

Just to let you know that I posted an interview tonight with Cathy Nichols and she wrote that your Creative Thursday blog is her very favorite of all :)
Hope you are well and rested!

Take care,
Stephanie
