Lions, Tigers and Bears :: Tiger

January 22, 2009

Tiger

5.5 x 7.5 in.

And the series continues...
How different is this from my usual work? Honestly sometimes my own paintings surprise me. I always begin them, but at some point the painting takes on a life all its own ~ especially if there is a personality in the image that is wanting to come through.

I had the BEST afternoon painting ceramics, and Outi and I came up with something new that I hope you might just love as much as I do...My big plan is to release all the newest ceramics in February before Valentine’s day.

I Really love the way you let the board peek through the paint, these are FUN.

What a sweet series! Can't wait to see the bear (my favorite). I used to be a certified ceramics teacher - it's fun, isn't it?!

I love this new series! I agree it's fun to mix it up! These are different than your usual work, but I can still see your style there. I most often do pen and ink drawings, but every once in in a while, I jump into my garage and throw around some bright house paints--it's so much fun to get out of the usual!

I love this new series Marisa. The oval shapes are really fun too! It's great to step out of the norm and do something different isn't it? I've been changing things up also. It keeps things fresh and fun. Happy painting.
