I'm Teaching!! :: at Squam this June

SQUAM

Yup!! This is truly exciting!! In the works for the last couple of months, I can finally announce (you know how it’s hard for me to keep a secret) that I will be teaching two classes at Squam Art Workshops in New Hampshire this summer, June 3-7. It’s an honor to be invited to teach (thank you so much Elizabeth!) and it will be an honor to have you join me for some daily painting and sewing. And as I’m sure you can guess these classes will be more than just painting and sewing...they will be about creating and how it applies to all areas of your life.
Did I mention how excited I am?!!

That is wonderful news-congratulations! Wish I lived closer-I would definitely be there!
Yay! So exciting.
I hope you have a fabulous time!
Hi Marisa

How exciting! Congratulations- that's fantastic!

Peter and I would like to say thank you soooo much for your lovely comment - it was such a lovely surprise : )

I've been feeling a teeny bit insecure about my work as, as you know it's hard to put your work out there to be judged. Even though I've been designing for 11 years I could hide behind the business I was working for- now it's just me on my own, for all to see! Also I know I need to put much more in the shop and I'd love to open an Etsy shop but it's just finding the time! It's very hard to balance the freelance work (which pays the bills) and your own work isn't it? I'm always battling for time- something I think I am going to write about in my blog.

As ever though you remain an inspiration to me and I decided over Christmas that I am going to aim to do a daily design- although I may have to cheat and design at the weekends to keep up!

Thank you again for all your support!
I saw your name on the agenda a couple days ago and I got so excited! Congratulations on this wonderful opportunity! I would love to attend your workshops.
oh Marisa-- to think you are going to bring ALL that California sunshine and magic to New Hampshire-- how lucky are we?!!
Super Cool! Congrats :) 2009 is going to be great...
Oooh! Exciting news indeed! Such lucky students to get to go to your class... Congrats! I'd have a hard time keeping that secret too. =)
congratulations!! i can tell you are going to be one of those awesome teachers that feeds off the reciprocal nature of teaching (meaning I know you'll be open to learn as much from your students as you are going to be teaching them) and I think that's when people get the most out of a learning experience. what a lucky class you'll have! :)
SO cool! you are going to be such an awesome teacher, I just know that, for so sure. I looked at your class descriptions yesterday, and thought, hmmm, could I do both june and sept...
Congratulations!
I like your new birds paintings. Cute!
Oh Merisa this is super cool! I'm so excited for you. Congratulations! You are gonna be such an awesome teacher. I wanna to attend tooooooooooo..wish I lived closer!! T_T
I am so excited to see you on the Squam workshop teacher list!! I was just thinking of asking for that trip for a birthday gift. I've been dreaming of that workshop since seeing it on sweet Sara's blog. Hopefully all will work out and I can be a part of the experience. You will be such an inspiration to those attending.
That's so great! Have fun Marisa
Oh Marisa I have to tell you I gave a little squeal of joy when I saw that you'd be teaching at Squam this year! We all had a great time last fall but I think you'll bring another level of magic to the next session and I so hope I can join you there! yay for you! And impressive secret-keeping!
Congratulations Marisa how exciting!!! I really enjoyed reading about everyone's experiences at Squam last fall, and I'd really love to schedule a Squam gift for myself but my schedule conflicts both in June and September. :-( I have major gallery shows at both times. I guess I'll just have to live vicariously through bloggers comments for another year.
Congratulations Marisa--it's so exciting when things come up and take you in a new direction! I've been meaning to tell you again how inspirational it is for me to watch your career evolve.

I am at the beginnings of what will hopefully be a long and fulfilling art career, and I love being able to follow along as you show me how it is possible to make a career that is creatively fulfilling and exciting.

I am still supporting myself largely from other means, but watching you gives me a lot of hope.

So much luck to you in developing your classes!
Oh no! I wish I could rearrange my flight, I go to Germany May 23 and won't be back in New Hampshire until end of October. I wish I had known!!!!!!
