calendar(s)! GIVEAWAY ...

November month

Yup, this is the surprise I promised yesterday!
We’ve got to get you off to a good start for the new year!

Christine gave away one calendar on her blog this week (comments were open for one day not through the weekend as I had thought ~ sorry for any confusion there.) So many of you really wanted one that not only am I inspired by all the giving of the season, especially in the blog world, but I thought I’d give you another chance to win not just 1 calendar but 4 of them!!!  This means that you might have a good chance at winning one if you leave a comment below.

The giveaway will be open through this Sunday, December 21 midnight PST. To enter, just leave a comment below. I will randomly choose 4 winners and get in contact with you Monday. Since this is a calendar giveaway, I’d love to hear about a wish you have for 2009. But no pressure to share, you can also just say hello! :)

What can I say other than thank you again to all of you for your support this year.

happy holidays and happy creative thursday

and it’s not too early to start wishing you a HAPPY

Oooh. I'd love one of your calendars. I've sort of followed your work from afar until now, and I guess it's time to openly declare that you are really an inspiration to me. Happy holidays!
My wish for myself in 2009 is making creating art/craft a priority. Not sure how I'm going to do it but I will.
thanks for the giveaway, marisa! my main wish for 2009 is that i have a happy, healthy baby. :) only a month left to go before he arrives.
I have a lot of wishes for 2009. My first one right now is to have my art studio remodel finished by February so I can teach more classes. I also wish for a quick end to our countries economic troubles. My last wish is for everyone to spend the next year tapping into their own creative passions, and making time to enjoy the simple pleasures life has to offer.

If these all happened in 2009, it would be the best year ever!
My wish for the new year is a happy healthy baby girl & this calendar would look fabulous in her room!
<3
Ooh Ooh Ooh Pick me! Pick me!

My many wishes for 2009 all include improving my time spent with my family and by myself (I CRAVE solitude!) I want to find some time for ME in 2009. Stop running around like a crazy person - remember to breathe...do *little things* with my kids so that we have fun and see the beauty in the everyday....get organized...world peace, etc. etc...

Thanks for being such a source of inspiration for me tis year - I have really really enjoyed your blog! Hope you and Sean have a Merry Christmas!

jen :)
Merry Christmas and Happy 2009 to you and Sean!!

Thanks Marisa for doing this contest! :) I LOVE your work!!!!!!!

My wish for 2009 is peace, health, and more happiness.
I sent my daughter your post about your Anthropologie series and she said, "She's fabulous!" She had also done some Anthro inspired art, and I am so excited that she is getting excited about making ART! I would love to give the calendar to her to remind her every month to keep creating.

My wish today is for our 5 year old friend Nate to be blessed with the miracle of life and good health. Beautiful spirit slipping away.

Thank you for the happy world you are creating with your work. You are a bright light of inspiration.
My wish for 2009:
I wish my best friend a good birth and a healthy baby ; my boyfriend better health and my ex-co-worker that her health issues don't come back.

Marisa, I really love your work (I ordered your book for my best friends' daughter a few days ago, I´m so excited to hear how she likes it).
I absolutely love those calenders - just gorgeous. Merry Christmas and Happy 2009...
Thanks for your giveaway - love your paintings so would love to have them on my wall throughout the following year ;-)

I wish for 2009:
* that my new born nephew/niece is going to be healthy
* that my work keeps inspiring me
* that there will be less rain and more sunshine
* that all financial problems disappear so we can buy our calander ourselves in stead of hoping of winning one :)

happy holidays!

Merry Christmas to all!!
Hola Marisa!! I hope this giveaway is for international readers too!! Because I love all your work. I follow your blog daily despite I don't comment to much :P
Happy holidays!
(^v^)
Yay! Thanks for giving us some more chances, I love your work.
In 2008 I wished for a baby and so many of my friends and family had babies. In 2009 I wish for a baby, except this time I am going to be more specific, a baby for me. Having said that my sister told me earlier this evening that she is having a baby in 2009. If I won this calendar I would like to give it to her, she would love it.
Ohhhhh - please please! It would go sooo well with your little winter hares! :)

I love your creatures.

My wish for 2009 is to be able to do my art full time.
Thanks for the giveaway!

My wish is that all my loved ones stay happy, healthy and prosperous :) My friends in the financial sector have lost their jobs and I want to see them back on their awesome feet!
I think I'll wish for my sister and my son to fulfill their dreams. They each want to travel/move to different places and I'm wishing them lots of new adventures!
Oh how adorable! Now I'm certainly wishing for a cute calendar than the give-away one I had at my desk this year.
YAY!! Another chance to win your gorgeous calendar!! Once again I will be keeping everything that's physically possible crossed! :-)

Well as you already know my wish for 2008 came true- to leave my job and to start working for myself!!! My wish for 2009 is that my little creative business starts to support me financially so I can spend more time doing the work I love and less time on the freelance work.

Have a fantastic Christmas Marisa! And thank you for all your support to us creative "newbies" trying hard to make it on their own.
My wish is to grow as a confident artist, and to nurture the artists in my children, so that when they grow up, whether they pursue art or not, they do not feel fearful of the process.
I've absolutely fallen in love with your work and find it so inspiring, i'd love to look at one of these calenders while I work work work!

My wishes for 2009:
To learn how to speak italian.
To do a triathlon.
To trust in God that my life will turn out as I hope and as He plans.
And finally, to start to create art on my own.

Hope you have a blessed & beautiful Christmas!
I hope 2009 is my most creative year yet!
Please count me in Marisa!
I admire you work on a daily basis, but would love to hold a piece of it in my hands. :)

My oldest boy turns 17 on Jan. 5 and my middle son 16 on Feb 2. I plan to spend 2009 enjoying them while they are still under my roof. My youngest is only 12, but I know how quickly time goes!
2009 = "family time" :)
Yay, I just love your artwork! I would love to give one of your calendars to my sister for her birthday in January.
oh how fun! i'm in great need of a new calendar...my office area would be complete with a fun and cheerful one like yours!! :)
I'd love to win your gorgeous calendar!

My wish for 2009 is to finally finish a book I've been working on and never get around to finishing. This means I'll have to say "no" to other things that take up my time, but ultimately, it'll make me happy to prioritize something I've dreamed of for quite some time.

Happy Holidays!
My wish for 2009 is for this economic mess to straighten out and for those around me to be OK through it all...
Beautiful calendar. I'd love to give one a home.

My wish (well one) for 2009 is that I have the courage, determination and confidence to continue to pursue my own little design business and that it will go in the direction I hope for. I left my job to pursue this in August so I have a lot riding on it.

Happy Holidays!
My 2009 wish - to use my blog as an outlet for inspirations and more creativity, and not to let my 9-5 job hinder me from pursuing my passions!

Marisa, thank you for being an inspiration to us all, and for sharing with us a little piece of your soul this year. Happy Christmas and New Year!
Thank you Marisa. This is very kind. Some of my wishes for 2009:

-my newborn niece's surgery goes well
-my injuries heal
-I get back to exercising regularly
-I manage my time better
-our new business venture succeeds
-I enjoy better health than I did this year
-I write and paint more
-my family and pets stay happy and healthy
-I can pay my bills & keep on top of my credit
-our property sells for a decent price
-no more car accidents!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to all.
How lovely! My goal this year is to figure out a new career that will put creativity in the forefront. I am in a career that requires no creativity and it is draining my soul. Hopefully my maternity leave with our second will give me some room for reflection on that goal. Happy holidays!
Hi Marisa!

I wish that I am as lucky in life next year as this year. My family and friends are all happy and healthy and I get to do what I love for a living. I never want to take any of that for granted.

Thank you for your inspiring words and art you share so freely with the world! You make it a better place! :)
I would LOVE one of your calendars! I am so inspired by your work. Your art is my happy place.
Wow, what a nice giveaway Marisa, I've got my fingers crossed!! I hope you and Sean have a very Merry Christmas and all the best for the new year. My wish for the coming year is health and happiness for family and friends.
Cheers!
Gah! Too cute! I'd love to start the new year with one of these!

My wish for the coming year is simple...health and happiness to all.

Happy Holidays, Marisa!
I hope (and wish) that we can buy our first house in 2009.
Thanks for hosting this giveaway! My goal for 2009 is to be more generous, to show love to those dearest to me (the ones that are easiest to be annoyed at!), and to complain less. Happy 2009 to you and to my fellow readers too!
Oooo I would love to win !
My wishes for 2009
Good health for my husband, happiness for my 4 kids( all grown), A healthy baby for my daughter ( has been trying for awhile) and more courage for me to pursue my creative dreams and start my own business.
Tiffani in Ohio
Give me, give me! haha. MY WISH-I actually have 2-to be able to quit my job so I can stay home with my little Bella and for my mom to kick her cancer in the arse! Love you, Marisa! Merry Christmas!
A new calendar...that would be fabulous. I just took down your 2008 calendar at work. So sad. My hope for 2009 is to sell our house, get out of the Bay Area and move to Denver. I am ready for a better quality of life and am really excited about it.
My wish for 2009 is to continue to live a creative life. You inspire me daily. Thanks.
My 2009 wish is for my mother to continue to get better after recieving treatment for breast cancer.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
I entered Christine's giveaway because you know I adore your work. Alas... I didn't win. =0( But, now I have a chance to redeem myself! Yay! Thank you for giving me an opportunity.

Now I have to go off to a quiet space and use the power of The Secret and manifestation to visualize myself holding your calendar and placing it lovingly on my wall where I'll see it every day. And every time I look at it, it will remind me that moving towards my creative dreams is the best possible route I can take... Can't wait!
My wish for the new year is to get my business up and running and start making a living off of it. I don't need a lot, I don't live big, but I need to make enough so that I don't have to go back to teaching HS when my son is old enough for preschool.
Your work is quite lovely, it raised my spirits to stumble upon it.

My wishes for 2009:
A wonderful wedding
To sell more of my art
To continue to be artistic/to be even more so
For my best friend to move back to the city I live in
Marisa, this is sooo incredibly kind of you! I was blessed to have your 2008 calendar, so I'm hoping to enjoy your 2009 one also!

My wish for the new year is for my 3 year old daughter, Lulu, to find a solution to her health conditions to allow her to have a joyous, fun filled year!

Have a lovely Christmas!
This is great! My wish for the new year is to find more time to relax and enjoy life. Less chores, more living!

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!

Wow what a great contest! Thanks for all the beautiful artwork and photos you share with us all year round Marisa. Here's to a wonderful 2009. Niki xxx
Oh, what a lovely giveaway! :)
One of my (many) wishes for 2009...? Hmm... I'd love to polish up one of my ideas for a children's book and get it sent off to a publisher (and, of course, accepted with glowing praise, but I think that goes without saying! Hahaha!)
Happy Christmas to you!!!
Simply generous of you! I'm a calendar collector and your 2008 calendar is one of my all time favorites!!! My wish is for all of us to find peace and joy in 2009.

i wish for a happy/healthy family and more creative work! hope you have a fantastic 09 :)
What pretty things you make! I always enjoying coming here to see what's new. You're saved in my favorites bar. :)
oh how lovely... i love your artwork!
Is it too greedy to wish for peace, health, contentment, love, thoughtfulness, open mindedness, trust and lots of laughs for everyone in the whole world?
Hewo Marisa

My 2009 wish would be...
~Pay off my car
~Convert completely from the SAD (the Standard American Diet) to %100 RAW Food Diet.
~And to buy one of your original pieces of art instead of the prints.

~Love your work, have a wonderfully creative holiday season!!! <3<3<3
I love your artwork. Would love a calendar for my daughter's room, would fit perfectly with her theme and I want to teach her how to read the calendar next year.
What a beautiful calendar! And the gift giving idea simply reminds me that it's far more fun to give than to receive this time of year.

My wish this year is to do some volunteer work in an animal shelter. I love animals and many have been dropped off in many shelter's due to the economy. I know it's difficult for many people to have to do this but I encourage those who can't keep their pets to drop 'em off rather than dump them anywhere.

Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays to all.
Yay! Thanks for running the giveaway.
I adore everything you create but, of course, my FAVORITES are your chair paintings. Love them!! I wish for more! More!
xoxox kimberly
