sock monkey holiday tree

Sock monkey holiday tree
5 x 7 in.

The original painting that inspired the holiday cards for this year. I know it’s still a little early for holiday festivities, but I’m wanting to feel celebratory and festive on this Friday. I’m wanting to enjoy the season (and the weekend!) as it approaches and this painting does exactly that ~ it makes me feel happy at this time year of year.

It’s also about friends, community ~ togetherness. It’s about all of us "shining" together.

Ah okay, makes sense. When I first saw the picture, I was thinking, "I seem to have seen this picture before..."

I'm thrilled I had the chance to buy the original! I can't wait to see it in person, it will be a great new addition to my little art collection :)

This print and the cards are so adorable. When big stores start pushing Christmas earlier and earlier every year (I literally saw stuff in September!) it's hard to feel that "spirit". There seems to be all this pressure to spend, spend, spend and get that perfect gift. And given the state of the economy it seems a little harder than normal this year and yet your work and your willingness to want to celebrate that real holiday spirit feels genuine and fabulous. Thanks so much for making the perfect little gifts and all of your good cheer.
