Happy House *a few of my favorite things* 2

"Happy House" by Linda O’Neil

Another favorite ~ my newly acquired "Happy House" painting by the oh so wonderful Linda O’Neil. If you’ve followed the blog for a while, then you’ve probably seen Linda’s comments from time to time. That’s how I discovered her. She left a comment here on Creative Thursday. (This is the second time I’ve bought original art, from a connection made on the blog). When you leave comments here, I often follow your link back to your blog so I can get to know you and see what you’re up to.

Right after I moved into our new home, which I had decided to officially name our "happy house", Linda visited here and left a comment (turns out she lives in my old stomping grounds and one of my favorite places in the world Boulder, CO). I wanted to see how she was doing so I followed her link back to her blog and saw this beautiful painting, titled so perfectly "Happy House". I immediately clicked over to her Etsy Shop, Abby Creek Studios, and it was still available, and that was that, I had to have it.

And every day that goes by I feel more settled in our new place and I am realizing just how happy I feel here in my "happy house" with my beautiful painting hanging directly across from desk.
Thank you Linda, I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE it!

(ps ~ Linda also paints great pet portraits and if you love this painting you can get it as a print over at her Etsy Shop )

It's wonderful color for a Happy House. I am so glad you find it for your home.
I went to her etsy and her dogs and the little car look really familiar. I think I have seen her work before. She is very good.
Yes Linda is the best. Not only is she a great artist...she is a great friend .
you TRULY live in a happy house!
what a great piece painting to represent the feeling of your home!
Great acquisition! Sooo adorable! Lucky you that you found your Happy House ... twice. :)
Oh. I adore house paintings and I love painting houses.

I love this about the blog world, we get to turn each other on to amazing new artists and share all the love, creativity and inspiration.
I'm on my way over to Linda's Etsy, asap.

p.s. Boulder is a fantastic place! I was homeless there for awhile when I ran away from home at 17 to travel around with a soup kitchen run by other homeless hippies. In Boulder, people were so kind to us. Instead of asking for people's spare change, we just asked people for a spare smile. Apparently, they liked that and bought me ice cream from the Ben & Jerry's on the Pearl. I was a crazy kid at 17. Glad I got a chance to meet beautiful people and visit Boulder.

oops. I think I gave you the address to the blog I don't use much anymore in the post above. Here's my New one.

i love this!
Sarah ~ what a great story. You know, I spent 20 minutes on Pearl Street at the Boulder Book Store and decided to move there from Florida. So, that's just what we did!
what a wonderful idea to *christen* the happy house and commemorate it with such a jubilant painting!

Is your favorite color red? I meant to ask you this like 5 times already. Whenever I see primary colors, esp. red, I ALWAYS think of you.

It's only everywhere over here.... :)
