Another Exciting Day~ Enormous Tiny Art show Opening Tonight!

photo from the Nahcotta blog

There’s my work in the bottom left hand corner getting ready to go up. If you can make it to the opening tonight, you’ll have to let me know how it goes. I’ll be there in spirit and in my art. I seriously thought about attending, but was afraid that I would buy so much art that I wouldn’t be able to afford to come home! They have 343 pieces of art (can you believe it?). It’s going to be a great show!! happy weekend :)

I actually work down the street from there, so am planning on checking everything out tonight :-)
Congratulations, Marisa on your new exhibit! You seem to be a positive ray of light and good things should always happen to people like you. So glad to see your successes!:)
Looks great. I love the idea! I went to the flickr page via the link on Decor8 and realised how much your pieces stand out- your style has become friendly-familiar, if you know what I mean. (Like travelling overseas and seeing something that reminds you of home.)

Something I'm curious about is your commission pieces. They're a lot more detailed rather than the more naive/simplified (not sure what the correct art term is) style of your regular pieces. Is this something the "commissioner" requests? or does it happen because you're trying to recreate an actual individual pet rather than the 'idea' of an animal?

Hope you don't mind me asking. :)
I love the "enormous tiny art show" name. HA! Good luck with the show, Marisa!
Congratulations!!! You are on fire!!
