Happy Birthday Lis!

Dalmation study by Lisa Gillespie
This is my friend Lisa’s dalmation that she created with pastels. Isn’t it beautiful? I fell in love with it the moment I saw it. Today is Lisa’s birthday and I just want to wish her a happy day and say a special thanks for her friendship over all of these years. Lisa and I met in Boulder, Colorado when I lived there for 3 years, and she has seen me through some very big changes in my life. She continues to inspire me, and she is always there to remind me that "All is well"! We met in a "business plan" class when the beginnings of Creative Thursday were just a tiny, tiny seed. Remember that class, Lisa? :)

I remember that class - our friendship was the most treasured thing to come out of it, by far. It's done more for my business (and life) to link up with another deeply inspired soul than to spend time on the highly detailed business plan they advocated in the class!

I laughed when I saw which of my pastels you selected - that particular Dal isn't actually one of mine - but looked enough like Powell that I drew him and was going to add Powell's spots later. (I guess that I never quite got to that part!)

Thanks for the birthday kudos, pal - L.
Does Lisa have a website where I can see more work? I love it.
Lisa doesn't have a website just yet, but she will....so in the meantime you can email her at her comment above!
oops there's no link to her email...so if you are interested in her work, you can just email me!
