Having just celebrated a birthday with cake, champagne, the super bowl and of course a bit of reflection. I can genuinely say "I have arrived"...but in the defintion I am about to share with you.
How do you know when you have arrived?
The lovely Holly over at Decor 8 said it perfectly, "it comes from experiencing a lot at a young age and knowing that you have "arrived", you have nothing to prove anymore. I don’t mean arrived as in big success, fame, riches, power, etc. I’m talking about an affair of the heart and mind. When both agree that you are doing exactly what you need to be doing in life and you know it and own it."
Special thank you to Holly for choosing Creative Thursday and the podcasts as blog of the week; also, for sharing her story about how she chose to follow her heart to find her creative fulfillment. If you get a moment I highly recommend reading this post .
And, yes, about the podcasts... I will be BACK with new episodes in a couple of weeks. All of the newest podcasts will be right here at my blog. In fact you can join Holly and I as we explore some thoughts on Creative Living together, so stay tuned...
I ask you too, "have you arrived?"...at least for now!
A little Valentine’s "gift" collection I’ve put together for 2007. Some are one of a kind, some are limited editions. And, for the next 14 days I will be posting daily paintings in celebration of LOVE. If you order a gift before February 11th, it will arrive in your mailbox, wrapped for Valentine’s Day with one of my Valentine’s cards included. How about that?! :)
