More thoughts on daily painting...This one was inspired by my walk this morning. Yes, believe it or not literally in the middle of Los Angeles we saw a small herd of deer. Now we do live in a canyon, but it is literally right in the middle of the city, and there in someone’s driveway across from a bustling elementary school were 6 deer. The beauty and graciousness of a deer is not an animal you typically picture living in Los Angeles, yet here they are, a calm presence in an often hectic place. One of the reasons is daily painting so fun? Very rarely when I wake up do I know what my painting will be. The subject matter reveals itself to me as the day unfolds and sometimes in the most unexpected ways. I love it!
