My Illustration Friday contribution this week. Love pulls on your heart strings. I love feeling smitten :) …with Sean.

I was having one of those days last week...One of those days when someone you hardly know decides to give you a rose from their garden and it changes the entire perspective of your day. You take the rose home and it’s beautiful and it blooms; and all week it brings a smile to your face, as you are reminded of things that are truly important in the world. Thank you Irma.

I was on a plane today flying over Northern California. I love to see the view of the world from above. It never ceases to amaze me how magnificent and beautiful it is.

Kathy is an inspiring artist and designer who has had her own company since 1990. Her art touches over 50 million consumers on a yearly basis. I was one of those consumers as I recently purchased one of her beautiful greeting cards at Target - and I had to find her. As it turns out, she also happens to have an "advice to aspiring artists" letter at her website. After reading this, I now had to write her and thank her for posting such an uplifting and encouraging message! As it turns out, Kathy then visited my site and listened to the podcast and wrote this wonderful blog post about me. "Sharing the Love" at it’s finest. Thank you so very much Kathy! If you are an artist in need of some inspiration, and encouragement about making your living as an artist, I highly recommend visiting Kathy’s beautiful site.

I live in Laurel Canyon in Los Angeles. For those of you who aren’t familiar with Laurel Canyon, we are in the hills right next door to Hollywood. Some days, living here is like being in a nature sanctuary in the middle of the hectic city. Today was one of those days and this is what the sky looked like on our evening walk.
