Learning and broadcasting daily for the past month has been an incredible eye opener for me personally and professionally. My mind is blown and I’m sure it will be even more this week, because I’m headed to Periscope Summit in NYC. Of course! I’ll be Scoping from the Summit. You can find all of my latest broadcasts here periscope.tv/creativethursday
I’m realizing, while I’ve had so much support from our amazing creative community through all of these years, I’ve never truly had a Mentor, someone out ahead who I could trust to help me take the next steps, specifically in the Creative Industry.
Being a Creative Business is not like every other Business. It’s an incredibly unique and personal offering. And the stereotypes that still surround both artists and women in business need to END.
My intention in leading this class is to be the Creative Business Mentor I wish I had. I want to help you grow and refine your business: to empower you to THRIVE in this industry.
We released a collection of Tinies creations at our online shop!
This is not only to share beautiful creations made with "the tinies" to give you ideas on all of the ways you can use the fabric, but also as an experiment. I like the idea of releasing entire designed collections a few times a year. We shall see if this is a new direction for Creative Thursday or not? As you know, I always have the right to change my mind, and sometimes I do ;)
So much has shifted in the way our economy perceives retail, especially over the past few years, that honestly it has me re-evaluating the direction I want to go in regards to designing products....I’ll keep you posted about what I’m learning and ultimately what I decide to do.
Enjoy "the tinies"! and happy weekend!
Ok. seriously.
As soon as I said I’d be coming back to the blog...I found Periscope. Or better yet, Periscope found me.
I’ve been scoping almost every day now for 3 weeks and still loving it. In fact I’m headed to Periscope Summit in NY in just a couple of weeks. I don’t have to tell you again or maybe I will ;) Live streaming video is a GAME CHANGER especially for business owners.
Honestly, I’m watching the economy shift in front of my eyes every day with this new platform. I’m also watching consciousness shift. It’s incredible what’s happening.
What I’m realizing for now - is that I believe this is the platform I’ve been waiting for. It is quickly becoming my favorite social media space and also my favorite way to communicate with everyone online.
I’ve shared a lot over the past few weeks from thoughts on business to life, as well as few short Adobe tech tutorials. If you’ve missed any so far, you can watch the replays for a short while longer on katch.me/creativethurs
If you know me, then you know I love to talk especially about life as a Creative Entrepreneur. In keeping the blog all of these years, I’ve often felt like I couldn’t type fast enough to share all that I’ve wanted to share and now I just click the broadcast button and voila, I can share in the way that feels easiest for me. Prepared {I promise I’m not rambly rambling over there} but Unedited and LIVE talking. I also forgot how much I love to learn and realized that I haven’t been taking nearly enough time to learn more as a business owner. And let me say that what entrepreneurs are sharing on Periscope is OFF THE HOOK. Basically, it’s a no brainer for me to be Scoping: Teaching + Learning. And to everyone who’s joining me, especially on the LIVE scopes, thank YOU! It’s been so wonderful to have you there, to chat with you and get your thoughts. I also very much appreciate the support as I find my sea legs with this new medium.
Per request, here are some links to product recommendations I’ve share on Periscope. If they are through Amazon, I am an affiliate, so if you purchase it through my link I get a small percentage back. thank you!
